I wrote this on July 20, 2009. This was before I was a believer but the message remains the same.
The days and nights have been going on by as quickly as a blink of an eye. One minute is morning, the next it’s night. The ascendant of a greater consciousness seems to be spewing with lightening of speed, defying all sense of time. Perhaps, showing us mere mortals that time doesn’t exist beyond our own conscious thoughts and understanding. In an effort to try to comprehend this energy shift, I began my search for something greater, beyond the limits of self. I found so many discoveries that are profound to say the least.
My spirituality has been tested over and over again these past few years. I have been willing to learn its lessons, hoping to pass a few along the way. The lessons intensified since the passing of Michael Jackson. I was wondering why.
Why would a man who appeared to be a mere stranger to me affect me so much through his death?
You can say it was the music. I’ve always believed that music had a great spiritual quality that connects people from all walks of life together for one common purpose or one common emotion. With Michael, the emotion would typically be of love, the sweet unconditional kind. You can say it was the dance. The motions of his moves would be deemed as pure magic to some. He used his body as an art form in itself from a purely authentic place. You can say it was his humanitarianism. His ability to give without any expectations to receive was paramount.
However, I think it goes beyond all of that into something more spiritual. His death brought about a true sign of the shift in Consciousness.
