Now, I just want to say that posting this doesn't make me a blind believer in the double theory..
I just find it interesting..
But it was something that was brought up a long time back and I was telling Merkaba about it tonight, and she had missed the post the first time around on old MJHD.. and we all know that went bye bye.. so here it all is again... mostly from memory..
(PS, I do realise I am posting older things tonight )
Rockwell.......
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockwell_%28musician%29
Kennedy William Gordy (March 15, 1964 ) - son of Berry Gordy, who signed the Jackson 5 in 1969ish..
So, we straight up can assume that Michael and Kennedy were well acquainted.. "Oh, hey dude!" "Whoa, hey dude!!!" etc
Rockwell released 'Somebody's Watching Me' with Michael in January 1984. (which is, btw, the same month of the Pepsi Incident.) He got the record contract under the name Rockwell so that his daddy didn't know.. or something to that effect..
"The singer had himself signed to Motown without his father's knowledge. The elder Gordy did not find out that Rockwell was his son Kennedy until after the single and the accompanying album, Somebody's Watching Me, were released"
Here's some pics..
It was reported that Rockwell doubled for Michael back in the day.. It's on google. "It's no secret that Rockwell doubled for Michael back in the 90's".. I've read it started in the 80's, but who knows really.. I think the 90's make more sense.. as that is when things really went quite strange for Michael. I would guess 1991 as that is when Rockwell disappeared off the face of the earth, and we were given Dangerous. I guess it also gives some ammo to Mo and Souza's fairly recent thread about Michael's height changing too..

But, let's take a moment to have a wild imagination and place a few scenarios starting around January 1984.
Michael is burnt on the set of the Pepsi commercial. He undergoes treatment, and is probably going through a pretty hard time dealing with the damage this has caused to his scalp, not to mention the emotional and mental scars..
Let's assume, that considering Michael and Rockwell had just done a single together that they were probably still in contact.. Especially as the song is racing up the charts..
Now, some may say that 1984 is the triggerpoint of when Michael's appearance really started changing more frequently. And I am talking cosmetically.. mostly. Anyway, from 1984 onwards to 1990ish his stage makeup really altered. And we saw this seep over into what we perceived as Michael in "real life".
"In the recent Larry King interview of Cher regarding MJ, she mentioned a story from a long time ago that she was at a party with MJ and some other guy told her that MJ was going to totally change his face. At the time she thought it was just gossip but it turned out to be true."
So, in this theory we are going to assume Rockwell was getting work done to look like Michael, BUT there must be some way of distinguishing between the two of them. I don't think Michael had as much surgery as it may have seemed during the 90's.. he has said that it was makeup and lighting.. Perhaps the illusion is that we were seeing two different faces, thus making us think we were seeing new alterations, which we were.. in some way.
If we are to go into this theory headfirst then we have to look at what work Rockwell would've had to have done in order to look like Michael, and vice versa so as not to change Michael's face too much, but to make them as similar as possible.
Coincidentally it's near impossible to get a really good photo of Rockwell. Go figure, huh? So, we have to work with Videos, and album/single covers.
The most interesting photo is of the SWM cover.. compare these to Dangerous, 1991, the year we are assuming the double theory really kicks in..
The eyes.. Rockwells, and Michaels.. from Somebody's watching me and Dangerous covers.
So, considering the eyes match up so well all we really have to do is look at the face shape: chin, cheek bones, lips, and nose.
So, what did we witness Michael alter during the late 80's?
Chin, cheek bones, lips, and nose.
Anyway, I want to move on to a few other points.
In Berry Gordy's memorial speech he referred to Michael as being "Like a son" to him..
Rockwell:
Singer, motown - Years active 1983 – 1991..
Dangerous:
Released November 26, 1991
Recorded June 25, 1990 - October 29, 1991
Berry Gordy memorial speech.. "Michael was like a son to me"
Michael jackson lies in Berry Gordy's Crypt
new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/musictoob/17469/michael-jacksons-body-lies-in-berry-gordys-crypt/
Wikipedia listed Rockwell as releasing an album this year entitled: "Seriously, get these kids off my lawn." His first album since 1991.. The listing disappeared off wikipedia though.
Ok, the thing is, Those eyes on SWM could be Michael's and not Rockwells.. And I can't really prove that they aren't his.. but they were altered on the single cover. If you look at this image you can see an area that's been whitened out about the iris giving it a less circular, unnatural shape.
I created this to show how the eyes should've looked.
Still makes you wonder why the same eyes were used on SWM, Dangerous, Black and White, and, In The Closet..
And that very last one is from a guy's myspace page that worked on Dangerous.. Bryan Loren.. www.myspace.com/bloren2
I remember for a while people kept saying 1991 was relevant to it all...
Lastly, back when this was discussed on MJHD it reminded me of U2's 'Even better than the real thing' 1992 video clip (written for their 1991 album Achtung Baby) which has doppelgangers in place of the band..
The end has quick flashes of impersonators. There's a brief clip of an M.J. one at 3:22

Ok, I'm tired.. more tomorrow if I have forgotten anything..
